The lightest of the fully enclosed personal protection systems employed by the various nations of the Colonial Pact, the LAS-78 primarily acts as the standardized hostile environment suit for both civilian and military applications. The military variants will typically employ either the MCH-95 or MLH-90 helmets with magnetorheological 'soft' plates over the various primary areas of protection. The suit can be employed either with the MAI-750 EAPLS or without, though the MAI can provide additional protection against suit breaches in vacuum or hostile environments.
