Colonial Pact Common Solid Fuel Fusion Cell (CSFFC)

A compact fusion power source consisting of a solid cylinder of fusion fuel, very similar in operation to the LISTM propulsion system. Unlike it however the CSFFC is a closed operation, utilizing the fuels entire output for power generation. Typically employing a metallic hydrogen fuel source, it is effectively a fusion 'candle' with one end of the fuel rod slowly being consumed by a traveling containment/ignition/conversion array moving down the length of the fuel and the cell. Like other Pact fusion systems this one generates power via the conversion of radiation and thermal energy via a lining on the inside of the reaction vessel. The size and construction of CSFFC type systems varies with their scale and purpose, typically finding use at the smaller end of the scale on power armor systems and vehicles.

Availability and Sales

'CSFFC' type systems are primarily used on Colonial Pact Trade Alliance military, civil security, and commercial vessels and platforms. However power systems of this type are often provided to client states or trusted private interests.
