Colonial Pact Common Gravitic Repulsion Drive (CGRD)

The mainstay of inter-gravitational well flight operations for Pact starships on both the military and civil sides, the CGRD functions as a gravitational 'anchor' locking a starship to a specific altitude within the gravity well the ship is operating in. This altitude can be changed as needed. The number of CGRDs needed depends on the size and mass of a ship since it will be 'balancing' on that point placing the stress of the ship's entire mass on one point. Obviously the larger and heavier the ship the more CGRD systems needed. Each unit on average is the size of a 12 meter long standardized Pact cargo shipping container.

Availability and Sales

'CGRD' type systems are primarily used on Colonial Pact Trade Alliance military, civil security, and commercial vessels and platforms. However propulsion systems of this type are often provided to client states or trusted private interests.
