Ship Designations
Unlike small craft and sub-systems ships receive a project number and a letter prefix to determine their primary roles. These are listed below along with a standard ship designation outline.
Role Letter - Project Number - Last Three Digits of Initial Year of Manufacture
Example: Project K784-966
Ship Designation Letters
C - Carrier type vessels dedicated to operating strikecraft as their primary offensive armament.
B - Any combat vessel over one kilometer long.
K - Escort combat vessels under one kilometer.
S - Stealth combat vessels.
P - Low tonnage vessels designed for scouting or patrol.
T - Armed transports.
N - Civil and military logistical vessels.
