Typically composed of a passive listening network of strikeplate sensors, phased array antennas, and direct specialized optical equipment. These systems are calibrated and employed in the detection of particles, energy forms, and non-einsteinian phenomena produced either by exotic natural events or man made activities. The latter of which are typically caused by the various means of space travel including FTL jumps, faster then light communications, exotic weapon systems, and above all exotic power plants. EWPDITS type systems are primarily used on Colonial Pact military, civil security, and commercial vessels. However sensor systems of this type are often provided to client states or trusted private interests.
