The ENQ-607 is a standardized set of modular sub-system mainframe quantum computers networked and linked via shielded fiber optic hardlines to the primary control system (often the ENQ-901). These act as dedicated primary computing and control systems for individual ship components such as her power plant, engineering section (example: engine and FTL drive control), and other systems including the vital function of fire control and directing. A secondary function of the 607 is also providing a secondary network of personal and strategic placed computer terminals for either personal or vital ship operational use. It entered service with the Colonial Pact Alliance military forces in 951 N.C.C. being produced by Kaar General Resources.
