A standardized set of 'hot launch' vertical launch canisters set within a standardized twelve cell system with a modular nature. It has effectively become the defacto missile launching system for all Colonial Pact starships, including military, civil, and privately owned vessels with only slight variations between manufacturers. The launcher cell set itself can be either 'bolted' onto the outside of the ship's hull or set in specifically designed fittings, typically the latter is employed. Each is heavily armored designed to deflect any blast effects from both the launch or cookoff of missiles struck by enemy fire away from the ship's hull. Each canister is also covered by a large flip out style armored hatch which can also be blown off in the event its damaged.
