Perhaps the closest thing the human factions of the Novus Domum Sector have to a universally accepted weapon, the ALP-57U Kaar Automatic Pistol or 'KAP' as some of its users call it is perhaps the most widespread handgun in human use. Employed by military, security forces, and private users alike its ease of manufacture and use as well as a free to use printer template has all but ensured its proliferation. It is a closed cycle caseless weapon employing a semi-motorized action that feeds from a twenty-five shot box magazine. 'Smart' versions of this weapon include a contact link in the grip that allows direct interface with a user's personal electronics suite as well as a 'ghost' holosight if they have the proper optical equipment or personal augmentations.

Notable features include:
  *Programmable Selective Fire but with a standard of semi, automatic, and three round burst. (Burst is caused by briefly holding the trigger in automatic mode, if held down the weapon will fire in full automatic.)
  *Ambidextrous weapon status panel displaying current power and number of cartridges in the magazine.
  *Ambidextrous drop free magazine release.
  *Tab access for the action group to allow for the clearing of missfeeds or ammunition failures. 
  *Optional suppressor. 
  *As stated above the weapon can be outfitted with 'smart' systems to allow for interface with cyborgs or personal electronics suites.
  *The linear 'boost' feature can be removed from the pistol to increase battery life at the cost of reduced muzzle velocity but with the benefit of reduced felt recoil impulse. 
  *Underbarrel rail attachment point.
  *Mounting point for red dot or holosight optics.
