====== Colonial Pact Dual Capability Radio Communication Systems (DCRCS) ======
Arguably the most common form of wireless communications in both the Pact and perhaps all factions, those used by the Colonial Pact tend to be of the digital type with a wide variety of capabilities depending on their purpose. Encryption of the wireless traffic is general done via the use of pre-created quantum encryption keys of which the military use versions are much more complex then their civil counterparts. Additional most spacecraft or military use DCRCS systems employ a second 'subspace doping' capability allowing them to transmit at FTL velocities in either a narrow or wide emission mode.

  ***Effective and Maximum Range:** Theoretically unlimited communication speed however is effected by the light barrier, subspace 'doped' transmitters are roughly 1000 times faster then the speed of light but are also effected by time lag after a certain distance.
  ***Mount and Related Hardware:** Typically a transmitter/receiver optical array on each major facing of the starship or platform.

'DCRCS' type systems are primarily used on [[colonial_pact:colonial_pact_coverpage]] military, civil security, and commercial vessels and platforms. However communications systems of this type are often provided to client states or trusted private interests.
