====== Colonial Pact Common Multispectral Active Jammer (CMAJ) ====== Related articles can be found, [[colonial_pact:technologies:electronic_warfare|here.]]\\ A powerful set of active electronic warfare devices that can be employed either individually or at the same time depending on the situation the craft employing them may find itself in. Effectively a tool for confusing every type of sensor known to the Colonial Pact including those intended to detect exotic particles and waveforms. Like most systems of this type they tend to be situational and their effectiveness depends on what threat the employing craft is dealing with and whether it is using wide area jamming methods or directing the full power of its CMAJ system against a single target. This system comes in a variety a sizes and power capabilities depending on the platform the system type is mounted too. From the humble system on the shoulder of a power armor to the large bus sized arrays on star ships meant to dazzle or burn out the various EM sensor systems on incoming ordinance or attack craft. ===== Active Hyperspectral Jammer ===== Typically paired with a passive array or sensor data input in order to locate incoming guided munitions or the 'eyes' of other platform's optical systems. This active jammer is primarily a directional system emitting a high amount of output in numerous light wavelengths from UV to visible to the various infrared spectrums. This output effectively blinds a sensor looking in its direction or in the very least dazzles it reducing its effectiveness by a high degree. ===== High Energy Radio-Gamma Jammer ===== A system intended to emit radio and high energy radiation in a broad area or narrow band manner, it is primarily intended to dazzle or overload sensor systems aimed at detecting these opposite ends of the electromagnetic spectrum. Either directly or by creating a far larger target on these sensor systems then the actual transmitting platform. ===== Availability and Sales ===== 'CMAJ' type systems are primarily used on [[colonial_pact:colonial_pact_coverpage]] military, civil security, and commercial vessels and platforms. However E-war systems of this type are often provided to client states or trusted private interests.
